Patricia Izquierdo Susín

Patricia Izquierdo Susín is a professional violinist from Spain with solid backround and experience in both violin performance and teaching. She graduated from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Navarra and obtained a Master’s degree in Classical Music Performance with Cum Laude honours from the LUCA School of Arts in Leuven, Belgium, where she studied under the renowned violinist Elisa Kawaguti. Throughout her career, she has refined her technique with esteemed teachers such as Nana Kawamura, Kirill Terentiev, and Joaquín Torre.

In the orchestral field, she has collaborated with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra and the Orquesta Sinfónica Ciudad de Zaragoza, and has worked with the Frascati Symphonic, where she took part in a tour of China, performing in prestigious international venues. She is also a member of the Süddeutsche Kammersinfonie Bietigheim in Stuttgart. Her experience includes concerts and projects in several countries such as Spain, Belgium, France, Germany, and China, which have helped her grow both as a musician and as a teacher.

As an educator, Patricia currently teaches violin at the International School of Stuttgart and has previously worked at the Colegio Irabia-Izaga in Pamplona. Her teaching approach combines personalised attention to each student’s needs with techniques that promote body awareness and overall well-being while playing. Patricia focuses not only on technical development but also on ensuring her students enjoy and express themselves through music, tailoring her methods to all ages and levels.

In her complementary training, she has taken courses in areas such as music therapy, music pedagogy, lutherie, and relaxation techniques for musicians. Among these, notable courses include an Introduction to the Alexander Technique, focused on preventing tension and injuries in musicians, and a course in Performance Psychology, which delves into managing stage anxiety and optimising musical performance.

Patricia is fluent in both Spanish and English, which enables her to easily connect with international students. Her passion for music and teaching drives her to continue training new violinists, encouraging them to master the instrument while enjoying the beauty of music.
